Dressing up has always been fun and of course, it’s fun to dress up for Halloween. It may be a bit costly to pull out all the bells and whistles to complete a Halloween costume that doesn’t come in a bag. Who wants to attend a party with the possibility of having a twin walking around the room. Wouldn’t it be more original and cost effective to create a costume out of pieces that are not considered costume? I have put together these looks from pieces that can be worn again on several different occasions.
The first looks are a twist on a cliché costume, The Witch or as I call it, Be Witchin’.
Another cliché look, The Jail Bird, now personally coined Jail Breakin’. Black and White Stripes and high contrast stripes have been very popular this year and many of you may already have a striped look in your closet. Take it out and get creative! Each piece can be worn at another time of year, giving you multiple uses out of it.
I hope I have inspired you to think differently about your Halloween look but if you are still stumped, head to your nearest costume shop and risk seeing your doppelganger out this Halloween. Happy Trick or Treating!
